Notre Dame, coming off a 6-6 season in 2009, won against themselves on April 24th at ND Stadium. It was the annual spring Blue-Gold game when the team is divided into a blue team and a gold team. This was also fhe first game coached with Brian Kelly as the new head coach. Watch the highlights at und.com.

A great group of Coastal Computer Corporation veterans assembled for lunch today at Famous Dave’s. Pictured are men who have known each other for over 20 years by working at CCC together. It’s now dESCO and owned by Dean Schreiner. Brothers George and Glenn Slay (Glenn not pictured) founded the company in the mid-80’s.Â

Back in the days when I was working on my BA in Journalism, publication was very different than they are now. Stories were written and had to be re-typed on photo typesetters which then had to be pasted-up on a layout board. Photographs were shot on film, developed, and printed to then be also pasted-up on the same layout board. One of these would be produced for each page of the newspaper. Each one would then be photographed again to create the plate for the printing press. It was always …

Looks like we’re going to have a little more activity this year than 2009. There were no hurricanes in 2009 that visited anywhere near Florida. We always need the water during the summer to increase the ground water level for the non-rainy months, so a few close calls would be preferred over direct hits. Here’s a blurb from the net:

Relaxing on our couch is our daugher, Liesl Marie Leyes. She will be celebrating her fifth birthday coming up in May of 2010, and what a blessing she has been to our home and our lives. One day five years ago, Anne Shomberg told us at church that her brother had one remaining cocker spaniel puppy left in the litter to give away, so we drove over and scooped her up. Other than taking airplane trips with us, we three do just about everything together.
